Are you motivated, dependable, and passionate about helping customers find the right solutions? We're looking for an Inside Counter Sales Representative to join our dynamic team! In this key customer-facing role, you'll be the first point of contact for contractors, builders, and walk-in customers, providing product knowledge, pricing, and quotes while delivering outstanding service.

This is your opportunity to build strong customer relationships, expand your sales expertise, and gain hands-on experience in the building materials industry. You'll collaborate closely with purchasing, production, and outside sales teams to support company growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the company professionally, both in-person and over the phone.
• Collect customer product needs and specifications, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams.
• Respond to inquiries about products, orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and follow-ups.
• Provide accurate material take-offs for residential, rural, industrial, and commercial projects.
• Generate sales opportunities by understanding client needs and highlighting product features and benefits.
• Accurately process orders, quotes, invoices, work orders, and sales tickets.
• Coordinate special-order products, including pricing, specifications, and availability.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Participate in company training to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Uphold safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and contribute to a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of sales techniques and business math.
• Familiarity with building materials, construction, or related industries preferred.
• Ability to operate computers, calculators, and inventory systems.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently, lift/carry up to 25lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 80lbs.
• Comfortable working in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
