Location Address: 4801 Beckner Road , Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507, United States of AmericaCompensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $: 15.5Maximum Offer for this position is up to $: 19.73Job Description: *Maintain established departmental policies and procedures.*Maintains established medical therapies to include, but not limited to, oxygen, IVs, restraints, catheters etc. during transport and notifies nursing staff immediately if medical equipment alarms. *Responsible for effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare team members. *Retrieve, store and transport oxygen cylinders according to hospital policy. *Follows assigned priority as directed for admission, discharge and transfer activity. *Assist with patient transfers from hospital units to other units within the facility. *Utilize automated processes within the Teletracking system to notify the Presbyterian Care Connection of patient activity. *Gather equipment pertinent to transport from within facility to ensure equipment is available when needed. *Deliver malfunctioning equipment to Maintenance for repair. *Provides safety and security monitoring for assigned patients. Alerts nursing staff of changes in patient condition as directed. *Assist with mobility and ambulation as needed for patient transport purposes. *Maintains confidentiality of all healthcare information. *Delivers specimens to Laboratory, Microbiology and Pathology. Transports x-rays and equipment. *Performs basic clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, filing and copying. *Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings and departmental meetings as required.
