Position Overview

As the Litigation Paralegal, you'll be central to the momentum of each case, from early investigation to trial preparation. You will support attorneys across civil employment litigation and probate dispute matters while maintaining strong communication, organization, and high-quality work standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a reasonable caseload involving civil litigation (employment) and probate disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and collaborate with attorneys to develop legal arguments.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, status reports, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintain litigation calendars, track deadlines, and manage discovery.
  • Prepare attorneys for court appearances through trial; provide courtroom assistance as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court clerks, probate examiners, opposing counsel, and related parties.
  • Meet minimum billable hours of 1,400 annually for full-time employees.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent hands-on experience supporting litigators in California civil courts; probate experience.
  • Strong understanding of California Rules of Court and the Code of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 required.
  • Experience with Clio Grow and Clio Manage is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational ability are essential.
