The Office of Global Engagement (
OGE) at the University of Georgia is dedicated to expanding the global reach of our institution's instructional, research, and service missions, facilitating the university's thoughtful and effective participation and leadership in the interconnected world of the twenty-first century.
OGE is comprised of three units: Immigration Services, International Initiatives, and Global Education-the latter including UGA's residential centers in Oxford, England and Cortona, Italy-with all areas supported by dedicated Finance and Operations staff. OGE's comprehensive structure enables it to advance strategic institutional goals aimed at raising the global profile of the University of Georgia. Clerical and Receptionist Support:
- Greet and assist visitors; answer and route calls; take and deliver messages; provide information to visitors or callers, as appropriate.
- Support unit with various clerical tasks and processes, including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, entering and tracking data, updating electronic records, etc.
- Monitor multiple unit email accounts.
- Receive payments.
- Perform duties related to incoming/outgoing mail and shipping.
- Perform clerical tasks associated with donor relations.

Administrative Support:
- Support the OGE travel authorization process including reviewing pending Travel Authorizations in FMS and the International Travel Registry.
- Approve Travel Authorities when documentation is complete.
- Communicate with Faculty and Staff travelers related to travel itineraries.
- Troubleshoot issues and report concerns.

Office Support:
- Assist with event planning, maintain lobby space, signage & presentation materials; report building maintenance, security, and other concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Train and direct student personnel, when appropriate, to support the front office operations.
- Train and advise other office personnel on processes and policies, as assigned.
- Support internal communications efforts, as assigned, including creation and delivery of weekly staff newsletter.
