Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Driver Full-Time in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working conditions varying based on the chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches or suspicious activity, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining logs as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
