As a Security Officer - Access Control in Artesia, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a chemical and petrochemical location to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner while upholding security-related standards.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
