Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Government Sector in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide assistance as needed. You will interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and uphold our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation while helping to create a secure environment for all.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols or while on duty.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and emergency responders as needed to address security-related issues.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
