Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent

Experience with a Division I football recruiting program.
Position Summary
The Coordinator of Recruiting Operations will coordinate aspects of official and unofficial visits made by prospective student-athletes. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a database of prospective student-athletes. The employee is responsible for organizing official and unofficial recruiting logistics including prospects coming to campus on a day without an event and also a prospect coming to campus on the day of an event. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining compliance for prospect visits.

Extensive knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multitask; excellent organizational skills; ability to work within deadlines; ability to complete work independently; experience in working with databases, mail and letter merges, etc.
Physical Demands
Regularly stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. The noise level during practice and sporting events can reach a high decibel level. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Duties/Responsibilities
Coordinates aspects of official and unofficial recruiting visits including: gaining approval of potential student-athletes (PSA's) visit from compliance office; determine mileage reimbursement as necessary; arrange hotel accommodations and meals for recruit and their guests; establish itineraries and set-up events; request tickets to athletic events for recruiting group as appropriate; collect payment from prospects and guests as necessary for any meals provided during visits. After visits, reconcile all monies and cash advances and turn into Business Office; complete all compliance documentation related to unofficial visits.

Organize recruiting correspondence sent to prospective student-athletes for assigned position groups: develops a year-long campaign of correspondence and motivational quotes to be sent to recruits at least twice weekly and to high school coaches once per week. In addition to routine correspondence, select recruiting information and materials to send as appropriate; composes letters; copies of digital files, DVDs and/or flash drives; coordinate and assign mailing process to student assistants.

Maintain recruiting databases using specialized recruiting software. Maintain file on all compliance documentation required by NCAA; keep running log of recruits and schools visited to ensure that NCAA limits on visits are not exceeded. Train coaches of assigned speciality area and staff on how to use recruiting software in order for them to look up information on recruits and current players, send recruiting e-mails, and logs compliance information, etc. Schedule meetings between the coaches, recruiting relations personnel and prospective student-athletes.
