Overview

The VNS Health OELD Internship program is an experience for graduate level students to gain first-hand insights inside a multifaceted nonprofit healthcare organization. Students will be placed in one of our clinical or business departments to contribute to key projects and departmental goals while developing relationships within and across the organization. The Organizational Effectiveness, Learning and Development (OELD) team, which sits within Human Resources, is responsible for driving improved employee experience by building and implementing VNS Health's strategies supporting employee engagement. We support initiatives in the following areas: Change Management; Employee Listening; Hybrid teamwork and collaboration; AI education and Non-clinical professional learning; Manager and leadership development; Inclusion & Culture; Performance Management; and Optimizing our digital workplace.

Geared towards graduate level students, OELD interns will experience a unique and collaborative environment that fosters a culture of learning, with daily mentoring and coaching from experienced professionals.

Gain experience designing and implementing interventions relating to:

  • Employee experience and engagement in a post- pandemic hybrid work world
  • Change management and communication strategies (e.g., team interventions, focus groups, engagement surveys and communication channels)
  • Employee-experience-focused digital solutions for cross-organizational business needs
  • Leadership development and the learning and development lifecycle to design, develop, and deliver learning events that improve performance
  • Assess organizational culture and implementation of appropriate interventions

* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • A learning orientation, growth mindset, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work & collaborate remotely with a team, w/ a self-directed proactive approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management and prioritization skills
  • Interpersonal savvy and the capacity to interact with all management / employee levels
  • Interest in learning about healthcare & the non-profit sector (previous experience not required)
  • Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, MS Teams and Sharepoint
  • Enrollment in an academic program which will culminate in a Master's Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business, or a related degree

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
