You Are:

UST is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer that will work with 1 of our Semiconductor clients. This is an onsite position in Guadalajara.

The opportunity:

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

* Design and implement embedded firmware with direct hardware interaction.

* Coordinate and participate in architecture, requirements, design, code, and test case reviews.

* Define and partition features and algorithms between firmware and hardware for optimal performance, power, and scalability.

* Drive co-validation strategies across hardware and firmware to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

* Develop and refine methodologies, models, and tools to enhance firmware development and validation efficiency.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

* The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field

* 3+ years of experience in the following areas:

• Embedded Software Engineer
• Computer Graphics, Computer Vision or Robotics
• Python
• C++
• Linux
• Git version control

Nice to have:

* Knowledge and hands-on experience with motion planning and pathfinding algorithms

* Knowledge of 3D sensing and projective geometry

* Hands-on experience with Open3D

* 3D modelling tools (e.g., Blender, SolidWorks)

* NumPy and Visual Studio

* Hands-on experience with scripting for the Universal Scene Description format.

* Experience in Combinatorial Optimization Algorithms
