As a Test Engineer, you will be working as the key player to assure operations in Vaisala Services keep running. Your main duty will be to maintain the Vaisala Calibration stations and solve and further on predict any hardware or software issues that might occur. You will also participate in developing new test platforms for our services. You will be a part of our global capability development team working with a network of high-tech professionals. This role requires being on-site in our Burlington, MA office.

What's Your Role?




  • Maintain existing service capabilities by following the resolution and response time KPIs.
  • Develop small improvements in the calibration stations in Vaisala Service Center and Field Services.
  • Create, document and validate new test setups.
  • Data handling and basic test result analysis.
  • Continuously improve processes and practices of team.



What will you bring?




  • A suitable educational background (e.g., electronics / automation/physics); Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Some experience in programming (preferably C# and XML) as well as hands on experience on working with hardware.
  • Skills to understand and create technical documentation.
  • Technical and analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A team player who is proactive and self-imposed but not afraid to ask for help if needed.
  • Nice to Have: Previous work experience in building test setups as well as a basic understanding of various measurement technologies or product development is seen as an advantage.



ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $65,000-85,000 annually with an annual performance bonus plan. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
