Schedule B-Side Nights: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & every other Wednesday Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Level 4 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. This role involves advanced break-fix support for GPUs, servers, networking equipment, and cabling, as well as ITSM ticket management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience deploying and maintaining fully populated GPU or network racks in a data center environment, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot-air containment, and cable tray installation. Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper and fiber: SM, MM, MPO), routing, dressing, and connectors is essential. Responsibilities * Perform advanced tasks across Levels 1-3 as needed, including: * Install, move, and cable servers and switches per wire maps. * Inspect hardware for damage and ensure proper configuration. * Troubleshoot servers, isolate issues, and replace defective parts. * Update firmware and configure IP addresses. * Assist network admins with cabling, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades. * Deploy and configure GPUs in servers. * Execute break-fix tasks for GPUs, servers, network, and cabling. * Manage tickets using ITSM tools. * Install and maintain copper and fiber infrastructure; handle optical modules (SFP, QSFP). * Interpret BOMs to verify materials. * Rack and stack equipment; patch fiber and copper cables. * Lead and manage team activities and multiple projects under tight deadlines. * Ensure compliance with safety and data center standards. * Provide documentation and daily updates using MS Office and customer tracking tools. * Travel as required. Requirements * 10+ years of data center deployment and break-fix experience. * Expertise in GPU/network rack installation and cabling technologies. * Experience with optical modules and fiber cleaning (SC, LC, MPO). * Proven leadership and project management skills. * Familiarity with DC power systems. * Strong communication and documentation skills. * Knowledge of telecom engineering for enterprise-level data centers. Preferred Certifications * CompTIA A+, Server+ * CCENT (required), CCNA (preferred) * MCP/MSCE (preferred) * Windows OS experience * Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) Skills Data center operations, deployment, fiber optics, cabling, rack and stack, troubleshooting, Cat6/Cat5, GPU configuration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46.20 - $46.20/hr.
