About the role:

Trimble's Office of Technology Innovation works across the Trimble, Inc. enterprise on projects in the geospatial, construction, and transportation and logistics industries. We combine business, technical, and scientific approaches to deliver internal and customer-facing solutions.

We are seeking an undergraduate summer intern with a course work in mathematics (calculus 1,2,3, probability and statistics) and computer science (Python and/or R). Past interns have done work involving statistical analysis, recommendation systems, time series modeling, classical analytical modeling (classification and regression models), exploratory data analytics (EDA), natural language processing and GenAI.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data cleaning, transformation, and integration for varied projects
- Apply analytical models and visualize results using Tableau, Domo, and/or Power BI
- Collaborate using cloud tools such as Azure, AWS, Databricks
- Document methods and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications:
- Candidates currently pursing an undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or related field
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R with solid statistics and probability knowledge

- Knowledge and understanding of dashboards including Power BI, DOMO, Tableau or similar platform
- Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills

- Eager to jump in and learn with curiosity and innovative thinking

Preferred Qualification:
- Background with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud and/or AWS are a plus

- Previous experience building dashboards is a bonus
- Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) and Mac OS X knowledge is beneficial
- Experience with AI tools, programmatic use and as a user

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
