DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerk Typist 1, you will engage in intricate clerical tasks involving receptionist duties such as answering the telephone, screening calls, greeting visitors, as well as directing inquires and complaints to the appropriate personnel. While operating with a significant degree of independence you will provide comprehensive clerical support to the agency including processing mail, ordering supplies, completing data entry for time sheets, and preparing contract documents. Your main focus will be to oversee the receptionist area, ensuring that the agency's needs are addressed promptly and efficiently. Additional tasks include filing case records and submitting appropriate reports to state agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Possession of the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
