Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift Monday - Friday. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 Job Responsibilities:



  • The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and caring way while incorporating differences into the provision of care.
  • Ensure improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.
  • Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab
  • Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data as documented in procedure notes. Tailors and prioritizes caring practices to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs.
  • Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (e.g. treatment options). Responds to changes in patient needs and provides holistic care.
  • Assists the healthcare team with the documentation process. Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients.
  • Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to health care team members while displaying leadership behaviors. Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -OR graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology -OR Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
  • Certification:

    • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire.
    • Registered in one of the below, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing:

      • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
      • Radiologic Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiology (RTR VI)
      • Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular (RTR CV)
      • Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular Interventional (RTR CI) required.


  • License: If doesn't possess one of the above registries, must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse within 12 months of hire
