Summary
Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of workforce development programs and initiatives with specific focus on external community jobseekers in areas of high talent needs in allied health professions. This role will oversee a team of WFD staff members working on programs and partnerships including high schools, community colleges, community-based organizations, and training programs with a focus on program completions and hires. This role will require some travel within the Greater Boston area for meetings and events onsite at MGB facilities or community partners.
Essential Functions
-Develop and execute a strategic workforce development plan aligned with organizational goals and healthcare industry trends.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to identify current and future workforce needs and align development initiatives with organizational objectives.
-Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in healthcare workforce development.
-Conduct learning needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps among healthcare personnel.
-Collaborate with subject matter experts, department heads, and HR teams to gather input and prioritize learning needs.
-Analyze data and feedback to determine appropriate training and development interventions.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources Management or Related Field of Study required
  • Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Experience

  • Experience in workforce development, training and development, or a related role within the healthcare or education sector. 5-7 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • - Proven experience in designing and implementing workforce development programs, including needs assessment, program design, and evaluation.
  • - Strong knowledge of workforce development principles, adult learning theories, and instructional design methodologies.
  • - Familiarity with healthcare industry dynamics, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple initiatives.
  • - Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
