Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol - Full Time in Portland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents at the location. You will remain highly visible to assist with access control while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Your focus will be on maintaining a secure environment through teamwork and integrity, supporting an agile and caring culture that puts people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following access control procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and communicate important information to management as required.
• Support the enforcement of site-specific rules and regulations, providing guidance to visitors and employees as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
