Job Description
Location: Remote - East Coast (Candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within the Eastern Time Zone. Candidate will be expected to travel to the Charlotte, NC office at least 2-3 times a year)

What You'll Do
- Design and Develop: Architect, build, and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, and pipelines (4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake required.)
- Data Warehousing: Implement and enforce best practices for data warehousing, including metadata management and data modeling
- Automation & Orchestration: Automate workflows using DBT and other orchestration tools
- SQL Development: Write, test, and optimize complex SQL and T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and Snow SQL scripts for data extraction and transformation
- AI Integration: Design and implement Snowflake semantic models for integration with Snowflake Cortex Analyst, Document AI, and other AI tools
- ETL & Data Integration: Build and maintain robust ETL processes to integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Reporting: Develop complex reports and dashboards using analytics and BI tools such as Power BI to meet business requirements
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and tune query performance leveraging Snowflake Query Profiler, micro-partitioning, and optimizer insights
- Security & Compliance: Implement identity and access management, row-level security, data masking, encryption, and other key security controls in compliance with enterprise and industry standards
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with accounting, engineering, analytics, and other departments to analyze processes and determine requirements
- Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve data ingestion, transformation, and performance issues
- Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, solutions, and operational procedures
- Collaboration Tools: Use platforms such as Jira and Zendesk for organization, task tracking, and project management

- Enjoys working on a small development team and thrives in collaborative settings such as peer programming sessions

- Communicates effectively with strong verbal and written skills, and can collaborate seamlessly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of (5) five years of hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and CI/CD automation within modern cloud environments
- Minimum of (4) four years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and electronic databases
- Must own an iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC systems

This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
