Job Description




As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver Healthcare in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to combine your experience with customer service in an environment where people and teamwork come first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures as well as site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter theft, disturbances, and/or other prohibited activities.
  • Collaborate with staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of experience in an armed security, law enforcement, or military role is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
