Security Guard - School Patrol Driver

As a Security Guard - School Patrol Driver in Castle Hayne, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and offer outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the campus and respond promptly to situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
• Prepare and submit incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
• Support access control protocols and verify identification when appropriate, following location-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
