About Our Team

AI Ecosystem is a new, centralized AI organization designed to deliver a unified AI solution that seamlessly spans Lenovo's Intelligent Device Group devices and segments. We are a diverse, nimble, fast-paced team driven by entrepreneurial spirit.

We are hiring a Financial Operations & Risk Manager to support financial discipline, operational rigor, and proactive risk management across the organization.

This role will work closely with the Strategic Planning & Budgeting Manager and Finance teams to monitor purchase requests, track budget performance, and identify financial risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will help ensure financial health through structured tracking, escalation of budgetary concerns, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.


What You'll Do

Purchase Request Monitoring & Tracking

  • Support the end-to-end tracking of purchase requests, ensuring timely approvals and alignment with budget plans.
  • Maintain visibility into spend pipelines and flag anomalies or delays.
  • Manage the process of entering purchase requests and obtaining POs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate status updates and key milestones to all relevant stakeholders across functions.

Financial Risk & Opportunity Management

  • Proactively identify and escalate financial risks, budget gaps, and overages.
  • Collaborate with Finance and business leads to surface cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.

Budget Oversight & Variance Analysis

  • Track actuals vs. budget across key initiatives and provide timely updates to leadership.
  • Deliver variance analysis and actionable insights to support decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Strategy, Product, Delivery, and Finance teams to ensure financial activities align with business goals.
  • Support scenario planning and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Operational Cadence & Reporting

  • Contribute to monthly reviews and QBRs by preparing financial summaries and risk assessments.
  • Maintain dashboards and tools to visualize budget performance and financial health.

Governance & Compliance Support

  • Assist in establishing governance mechanisms to ensure financial discipline and compliance.
  • Support documentation and audit readiness for financial processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in financial operations, budgeting, or business analytics within a matrixed organization
  • Experience in financial modeling and variance analysis
  • Experience with Excel and enterprise planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Ariba)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with purchase request systems and financial tracking tools is a plus
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
