Position Summary:

The Brand Experience & Partnerships Specialist will support the planning, development, and execution of brand-building initiatives that enhance Hannaford's visibility, engagement, and customer connection. This role focuses on activating strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and experiential marketing efforts that align with Hannaford's mission and values. The Specialist will also play a key role in community management across social platforms-engaging with audiences in real time, responding to inquiries, and fostering positive brand interactions. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be essential to delivering co-branded campaigns, activations, and integrated marketing efforts that drive brand affinity and loyalty.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the annual strategic planning process for partnerships and brand experience, contributing to integrated strategies across the marketing department.
  • Act as channel planner for partnerships and activations, ensuring strategic alignment across paid, owned, and earned channels throughout the annual planning and seasonal campaign processes.
  • Lead community management across social platforms in partnership with external agencies, setting the strategy for building and nurturing an online community through proactive engagement, timely responses, and consistent brand voice and tone.
  • Oversee escalation processes for crisis management across social channels in partnership with external agency and External Communications, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Assist in planning and executing brand experience initiatives, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships that enhance Hannaford's presence and customer engagement.
  • Monitor trends, cultural moments, and partnership opportunities to inform future brand experience strategies.
  • Plan, develop, and execute brand experiences that support marketing priorities.
  • Provide strategic support to the Brand Activation team to ensure alignment and impact across in-store and out-of-store campaigns, community events, and regional experiential initiatives.
  • Partner with merchandising and category teams to activate both in-store and out-of-store, bringing their products to life through engaging brand experiences.
  • Support creative content development for co-branded campaigns and activations, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the Specialist I Social Media to develop social activations that amplify brand efforts, including surprise-and-delight tactics.
  • Serve as the key contact for the External Communications team, supporting proactive PR opportunities and initiatives that amplify the Hannaford brand.
  • Support internal engagement with brand campaign initiatives in partnership with the Internal Communications team to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and execution with external partners, agencies, partners, and vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed calendar of brand activations, partnership milestones, and integrated marketing efforts.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs and brand guidelines for brand activations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage all event materials in partnership with the Community and Brand Activation teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards across all activations and experiences.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, partnerships, or experiential marketing-retail or grocery industry experience a plus.
  • Experience managing external relationships with agencies, vendors, or brand partners.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing planning and campaign execution.

Preferred:
  • Experience with event planning, sponsorship activation
  • A love of food and an interest in cooking is a plus
  • Love for community building

The Salary Range for this Position is $75,040 - $112,560
