Under the general direction of the Director of Security Services, serve as the Security Operations and Administrative Manager, responsible for development, planning, organizing and directing all elements of the Security Response and Patrol Program, including personnel and program management and development. Also, oversee data management and analysis activities for Security Operations at The Mid-Wilshire Campus. Assist Director with overall department administrative issues including strategic planning, goal setting, program development and implementation and budget administration. The Mid-Wilshire Security Manager will liaison with RNPH leadership to assist with strategic planning for patient, visitor, and staff safety on the campus. The Mid-Wilshire Security Manager will support all UCLA Health Security Department programs and enforce all policies and procedures. Comply with all State and Federal laws and follow all guidelines including state regulatory agency requirements. The Mid-Wilshire Security Manager must possess and maintain current certification in a California Guard Card, D.O.J. Chemical Agent, CPR, and a current valid California driver's license.

Salary range: $92,600 - $202,200/ Annually

Qualifications
  • Possess and maintain current certification: Guard Card, Chemical Agent, California driver's license and BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)..
  • Working knowledge and understanding of all programs operational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak English capable of using appropriate grammar and vocabulary to explain and support program policies and procedures and obtain and provide information.
  • Demonstrated ability to write using appropriate grammar and vocabulary to document discipline reports, review and edit incident reports and assist in revising operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with managers, supervisors, and all security personnel.
  • Skill in working as part of a team to provide productive supervision of the program and efficient service to the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a flexible work schedule and a history of excellent work attendance.
  • Ability to lead by example, to motivate and stimulate security personnel to work at maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to identify and use resources to solve problems and provide more efficient service.
  • Demonstrated skills in recognizing emergency situations and taking appropriate action.
  • Skill in interacting diplomatically with the public in a high volume, continuous public contact setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in a current position supervising personnel and shifts, including evaluating all personnel and correct/train on an ongoing basis.
  • Additionally, the ability to edit and update logs, files, and documents.
  • Ability to operate security related equipment and general office equipment.
Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
