Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months of separation from employment.

Full Time (36 hrs); Day Shift

Summary:

Working under the direction of theCardio PulmonaryManager/Supervisor, the Echo Techis responsible foradministering orassistingmedical staff with the following diagnostic tests:Echocardiogram,M-mode, 2D, Doppler, stress echo, contrast bubble studies, and TEE's atMMC BiddefordandMMC BiddefordCardiology.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)


  1. Education:Knowledge of Cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as procedures and equipment at a levelgenerally acquiredthrough completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
  2. License/Certifications:BLS Certificationrequired.
  3. Experience:Minimum of six to twelve months of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.Previousexperience in 2-D echo, Exercise and Chemical Stress echo and TEE's is desirable.Must beboardregistered within 1 yearinAdult Echocardiography.
