Requisition ID req35094 Working Title Program Specialist Position Grade 12 Position Summary The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The successful candidate for this position will become an integral member of the CDD Early Childhood Learning Network (ECLN) team that includes CDD Home Visiting (HV) Consultants and the Early Childhood Network (ECN/FIT), which supports early intervention providers. The Program Specialist will also have the ability to be flexible with shifting priorities. They will be skilled in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and working efficiently. They will have strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies from diverse communities throughout New Mexico. This position is based in the Albuquerque CDD office. Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is required for this position to assist with the transportation of equipment and materials for community events. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience examining and evaluating operations and developing and/or re-engineering operating strategies, systems, and procedures.
