Senior Analyst - Strategic Discovery

The Analyst - Strategic Discovery will be primarily responsible for supporting the Corporate BI team by collaborating cross-functionally to understand business processes and identify data sources across the enterprise. The role will work with the BI team to understand business requirements and document results. In addition, the Analyst - Strategic Discovery will partner with the Tech and Data Management teams to ensure that data is transmitted and stored in the appropriate channels to support the Corporate BI team's data models and reporting requirements.

Primary Responsibilities/Objectives:

• Coordinate with reporting teams to identify critical data to capture and report on

• Build relationships with SMEs across the enterprise to identify data sources for reporting requirements

• Understand, document and be able to communicate complex business processes to technical and reporting teams

• Coordinate with technical teams to consolidate data in the data lake

• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Strong understanding of reporting requirements

• Organization Skills: The Analyst - Strategic Discovery will be assigned multiple projects that each cover several portfolios across the organization. The candidate must be able to manage competing priorities and keep an organized record of data sources for each portfolio.

• Documentation skills: The Analyst - Strategic Discovery will be expected to maintain proper documentation on project status, data flows and business processes.

• Communication Skills: The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills. They must be able to interact effectively with others in different levels of the organization and regions across the world. The candidate will be expected to translate both business and technical findings to the Data Management and reporting teams with the Corporate BI hierarchy.

• Experience with querying databases to explore and validate data

• Proficient in SQL, database schema, and database tables

Education/Experience

• Position requires knowledge typically associated with a Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Business, related technical or business field, or equivalent work experience

• 4-5 years of applicable experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar role

• 4-5 years of experience with cloud database tools, such as Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake or similar

• 4-5 years of experience with SQL

• 4-5 years of experience with spreadsheet tools, such as Google Sheets or Excel

• Understanding of the Payments industry or Financial Reporting is a plus

• Experience with modeling tools, such as Lucid, is a plus
