Description

Convergint is searching for a Global Director of Events to lead Convergint's global event strategy, driving business growth, customer engagement, and cultural alignment through exceptional experiences. This role oversees Convergint's flagship customer, partner, and internal events-each reflecting the company's brand, values, and strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with flawless execution, managing global programs, agencies, and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results.

Strategic Leadership



  • Define and execute Convergint's global event strategy in alignment with marketing, sales, and business objectives.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of major events including global conferences, customer summits, and partner engagements.
  • Build and inspire a global team of event professionals, fostering innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to shape event messaging and themes that advance company strategy.
  • Leverage data and insights to continuously improve event impact, audience engagement, and ROI.


Operational Excellence



  • Oversee all phases of event planning, logistics, production, and post-event evaluation.
  • Lead negotiations with hotels, venues, and vendors, ensuring value, fiscal discipline, and brand consistency.
  • Manage agency partners across creative, production, communications, and hospitality to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences.
  • Own and manage multimillion-dollar event budgets, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and measurable performance outcomes.


Engagement & Experience



  • Develop audience-specific communication and engagement strategies across digital channels.
  • Integrate innovative event design, technology, and storytelling to elevate Convergint's presence and participant experience.
  • Partner across internal teams to create impactful learning, recognition, and networking experiences.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

    Experience: 10+ years leading large-scale, global B2B events within technology or enterprise organizations.
