Registered Nurse

Shifts: Days and Evenings, 8-hour shifts

Landmark Medical Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our vascular access team on a per diem basis. The RN will assess patients, place, and assist in the maintenance of vascular access devices (VADs) at the bedside using ultrasound guidance and the Modified Seldinger Technique (MST). This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent computer proficiency for documentation and reporting, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Assess patients for vascular access needs and determine appropriate VAD placement.
• Place and assist with maintenance of VADs at the bedside using ultrasound and MST techniques.
• Monitor and follow up on patient VAD status, including dressing changes and troubleshooting device-related issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including data for quality audits, CORE Measures, and participation in clinical trials or studies as applicable.
• Utilize advanced computer skills for data input, reporting, and communication within the care team.
• Check, reorder, and stock supplies and medications daily, ensuring readiness for all procedures.
• Prioritize patient care requests based on acuity and discharge plans.
• Provide patient, family, and staff education regarding VAD care, procedures, and follow-up instructions.

1. Current and valid State RN License.
2. Current BLS and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification upon hire and maintain current.
3. Infusion Nurse Certification.
4. Completion of Ultrasound-Guided PICC Placement using Modified Seldinger Technique program.
5. Minimum of three years' nursing experience, with high competency in peripheral catheter placement.
6. PICC and other Vascular Access Device care experience required.
