Job Description: Global Security Manager
Company Overview

Position Summary

The Global Security Manager for DRiV is responsible for overseeing physical security operations globally. Developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's global security strategy to protect employees, assets, operations, and information. This role ensures the organization maintains a safe and compliant environment across all regions of operation, proactively addressing physical, digital, and geopolitical security risks. This role reports to the Executive Director of EHS for DRiV and is based in the United States.


Required Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (strong background in data collection & analysis is a must).
  • In-depth experience with world-class physical security management practices.
  • Self-confidence and clarity of expression to lead discussions with internal executive audiences and challenge current practices.
  • Hands-on experience leading multi-regional or global initiatives.
  • Proficient in relevant security-related software systems.
  • Experience managing complex physical security improvement projects, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and burglar alarm systems.
  • Track record of managing change through influence across diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Expert-level financial and analytical skills; embraces fact-based decision making.
  • Strong project management skills including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and expert understanding of contracting techniques for managing risk.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work across all levels of a large organization.
  • Flexible, dynamic, proactive, and self-motivated individual.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts physical security planning, oversight, operations, and instruction to ensure the safety and security of Tenneco employees and facilities globally, under the direction of the Executive Director of EHS for DRiV.


Physical Security Responsibilities

  • Plans and recommends physical security systems and service requirements for all facilities.
  • Ensures compliance with policies on perimeter fencing, lighting, CCTV, access control, fire and burglar alarms, and guard services.
  • Coordinates installation, upgrading, and servicing of all physical security equipment.
  • Enforces standards, policies, upgrades, and maintenance of security systems.
  • Manages external relationships to ensure system viability and minimal business disruption.
  • Implements technology solutions aligned with corporate strategy and budget.
  • Maintains knowledge of state-of-the-art security equipment and technology.
  • Provides system solutions to security concerns and audit findings.
  • Develops operational processes and audit procedures for access control systems.
  • Acts as primary contact for security system emergencies.
  • Manages vendor communication and project planning.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Advises on annual security systems budgeting.
  • Provides physical security training to facility management teams.
  • Assists with selection and supervision of on-site security representatives.
  • Implements policies and procedures to protect personnel, property, and operations.
  • Reports noncompliance and security breaches.
  • Develops employee training and awareness programs.
  • Coordinates documentation of corporate security program records.
  • Provides procedural guidance to management and staff.
  • Interacts with HR on workplace violence intervention procedures.
  • Manages travel restrictions and updates Global Security Intranet.
  • Maintains electronic access control data and visitor management systems.
  • Utilizes incident monitoring software and manages camera systems.


Emergency Preparedness Responsibilities

  • Assists with maintenance of Emergency Preparedness Plans, drills, and exercises such as natural disasters, political unrest, or workplace violence.
  • Designs and maintains emergency response facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinates with state and local emergency management authorities.
  • Develops programs addressing workplace violence, technical abuse, and organizational integrity. Including but not limited to conducting after-action reviews and update policies to improve resilience.


Protective Services Responsibilities

  • Assists with protective services program for Tenneco employees and executives within the region.


Investigative Responsibilities

  • Conducts complex investigations of suspected violations including criminal acts, fraud, computer crimes, and major policy breaches.
  • Determines investigative strategy, interviews personnel and vendors, interrogates suspects, and documents findings to support legal procedures.
  • Evaluates investigative scope, techniques, and conclusions based on in-depth knowledge and standards.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of regulatory requirements governing investigative activities.
  • Establishes links between suspects and other violators using evidence from various sources.
  • Provides sworn testimony before grand juries, courts, and administrative hearings as required.


Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years of experience in security management or similar roles.


Travel Requirements

  • Up to 40% travel when required
