Fabrication Foreman / Supervisor
Location: Cudahy, WI
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Some Saturdays for overtime)
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 annually, based on experience
Position Summary:
Our client in Cudahy, WI is seeking an experienced Fabrication Foreman / Supervisor to lead and manage their fabrication department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication and welding within a job shop environment, along with proven leadership experience.
This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all fabrication projects. The Fabrication Supervisor will mentor and train team members, schedule daily work assignments, perform fabrication and weld inspections, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the fabrication team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
  • Plan, assign, and schedule daily work for fabrication personnel.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to promote skill growth and productivity.
  • Inspect fabrication and welds, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and AWS D1.1 welding code.
  • Monitor production processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production departments to maintain effective communication and workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or equipment issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Assist with planning, reporting, and process improvement initiatives to enhance overall fabrication performance.
Qualifications
  • Proven fabrication background with supervisory experience in a job shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding processes, equipment, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with AWS D1.1 Welding Code and fabrication inspection standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for scheduling, planning, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of fabrication and quality control.
