Position Title: Assembler / Packer

QPS Employment Group is hiring Assembler/Packer Associates for a Metal Stamping and Assembly company in Elk Grove Village, IL. As an Assembly Operator, you'll be at the heart of our production process - controlling, assembling, and packing parts that meet the highest quality standards. You'll follow detailed work instructions, perform light assembly operations, and ensure every product leaving your workstation meets our customers' expectations for performance and reliability Apply today! Assembler / Packer Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor machines, perform hand assembly, part locking, and component fastening - Conduct dimensional and visual inspections to detect defects or equipment malfunctions - Follow all standard work instruction and suggest smart ways to make processes safer or more efficient - Identify and stop non-conforming processes or defective parts before they move forward - Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance when needed - Complete operator checklists and documentation accurately and on time - Take ownership of your work area by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and productivity Requirements for Assembler / Packer: - High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or apprenticeship preferred) - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills - Keen eye for detail with a relentless commitment to safety and quality - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks - Familiarity with metal stamping, measuring instruments and blueprint reading - Basic understanding of SPC concepts and ISO/TS16949 standards - Excellent attitude, attendance and teamwork with flexibility to adjust to production needs QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
