DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, responsible for provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients, according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. Serve as preceptor to pharmacy residents and students as assigned. Participate in Health System and Departmental committees and promote institution-wide medication use policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree.

  • Registered Pharmacist issued by the state of California (RPH).

  • Incumbents can meet the minimum experience qualifications for this position in 1 of 3 ways: 1) possesses a Post Graduate Year (PGY) 2 or 2) possesses a Post Graduate Year (PGY) 1 plus 1 year of pharmacist experience, or 3) possesses 4 years of pharmacist experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • IDS experience.

  • Oncology experience.

  • Infusion center experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Hours are variable (8 to 10 hours shifts) including weekends and rotating holidays (up to every other), coverage for sick calls and vacation.

  • Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the Medical Center's business needs.

  • Must be willing to rotate to all pharmacy areas/sites.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $188,609 - $212,350 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $90.33 - $101.70

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
