The Office Manager handles day-to-day office operations with a focus on efficiency and time management.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Manage work order flow from inception to closure
  • Collect analytical data and provide reports to upper management
  • Work in conjunction with all internal and external customers to ensure company standards are met
  • Manage the processes of purchase orders, cycle counts, shipping and receiving, supplies, equipment and invoicing inside of SAP software
  • Organize and schedule location meetings and events
  • Communicate with IT department to ensure that divisional needs are met
  • Maintain contracts and pricing with vendors and service providers to ensure that all items are invoices and paid in timely manner
  • Oversee systems that maintain the organization of company documents
  • Participate in regular P&L meeting to ensure that budgets are met
  • Manage the process of dispatching work orders and installations to technicians
  • Manage office personnel in working with third party service requests
  • Manage communication processes with internal/external customers in conjunction with quoting system
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will manage 1-10 employees
  • This position will not oversee and direct other managers



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to complete multiple projects
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent customer service and data entry skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible and cooperative
  • Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames
  • Ability to present and always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications (Word & Excel) and SAP
  • Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes strong relationships



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • 1-2 years office, clerical, or operations experience required
  • 1-2 years management/leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of waste industry is preferred



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 10 lbs
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying a max of 35 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 50 lbs
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs
  • Rarely working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
  • Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Occasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Rarely climbing and/or balancing
  • Continuously sitting/standing
  • Frequently walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
