Job Summary


Case Coordinators apply the skills and knowledge required for trauma-informed human service delivery, professional visitation service provision, and program and health policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues related to the delivery of high-quality services at program capacity. Under the general supervision of the Site Supervisor, the position leads referral response, conducts and coordinates program intake and assessment, provides direct services to families, and supports accurate and timely recordkeeping for funding and case purposes. The position oversees shift operations in the absence of the Site Supervisor. May be obtaining hours for licensure or certification in a social work, behavioral health, or counseling field.

Department Description

Rally Family Visitation Services is a community program of UCSF Health Saint Francis Hospital championing healthy kids and strong families by fostering healthy parent-child relationships in vulnerable Bay Area families since 1991. In collaboration with the Family Courts of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin County, Rally delivers uniquely affordable and multilingual Center-based professional visitation services that keep kids and parents safe and connected during high-risk family system transitions. These include high conflict divorce, separation, or reunifications compounded by concerns about parent interaction, substance use, mental health, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and child abduction. Rally's mission is to promote the safety of children, the safety of adult victims of domestic violence, and equitable access to a neutral space where children in separated families can experience healthy relationships with both parents.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or related field; experience will be considered in lieu of education
  • A minimum of two (2) to four (4) plus years of experience in a human services related field (or years of education in a human services field beyond High School)
  • Experience working directly with families experiencing obstacles or in conflict, primarily domestic violence
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional visitation service provision, methods, procedures, and standards
  • Knowledge of and experience with trauma-informed practices and intake interviews
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development, dynamics of intimate partner violence, presentation of child exposure to domestic violence, and child abuse prevention resources
  • Ability to work independently and identify when to escalate issues/situations to Supervisor(s)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Experience working with children and/or families from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of conflict de-escalation, conflict resolution, and limit setting techniques
  • Assessment, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with a diverse client group
  • Strong PC knowledge and typing skills

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's Degree
  • Database knowledge and experience
  • Experience providing warm hand-offs and/or resource referrals
  • Experience with case management and/or social work
  • Fluency in a second language preferred, particularly Bilingual/Bicultural Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin)
