POSITION: Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary:

We are committed to exceeding expectations and having a strong commitment to diversity.The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing robust datasets, performing deep analysis, and delivering clear, actionable insights through advanced reporting and data visualization. Serving as a trusted partner and subject matter expert, the individual will drive process improvements, support organizational priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.

Key Result Areas:

* Brings together disparate data sources and addresses any underlying data issues or nuances in advance of analyses. Creates complex, thoroughly vetted, and robust datasets that support multiple dashboards, thus ensuring consistent outcomes. Performs deep analysis and investigation to identify trends and patterns in the data, suggests new and compelling metrics for our stakeholders, and finds new and/or improved data visualization techniques in a self-driven manner.

* Thinks critically about the processes and defines and pushes forward new process improvement opportunities for the team and/or the organization.

* 'Questions everything' mentality, to ensure the quality of reporting via extensive testing and checks with existing reporting and/or SMEs. Becomes the 'go to' person for support from the team due to the level of expertise and technical skills, knowledge of the data, and thoroughness of the analyses performed.

* Works independently, drives outcomes, and is proactive in ensuring the solutions meet the needs of potentially multiple different business units, and ensures that the team is focused on the correct priorities for the organizational goals and objectives. Combines strong business knowledge, by creating a partnership with stakeholders, with the technical expertise to add value to all analyses, data visualizations, and insights gleaned.

* Communicates clearly, with the right level of detail, to present findings to stakeholders and top executives in a way that fosters understanding, collaboration, and enables decision making.

* Thoughtfully engages with members of the organization regularly to drive requirements gathering, resolve issues, and perform data investigation.

* Completes ad hoc requests such as interviewing, onboarding, training, supporting new hires, and mentoring new members of the team.

* Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of proven work experience as a Data Analyst creating, maintaining, and testing complex datasets, as well as performing data analyses and investigation. 2+ years' advanced experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau).

* Strong people management and project management skills with the ability to translate the business needs into clear requirements, ask more in-depth questions, and find more robust solutions for multiple business units of the organization. Demonstrated experience working with internal clients to understand their goals and to drive consensus building for organizational metrics.

* Curiosity and drive to research improved methods of data visualization to keep CSB on the cutting edge of data-driven insights. Champions change to support these new methods.

* Advanced technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, data visualization, and testing/QC. An expert at creating compelling dashboards and providing KPIs and key insights for the organization.

* Critical thinking skills to go beyond the request, to understand the question being asked or the issue being addressed.

* Knows when to escalate and how to prioritize, based on knowledge of the data available and the direction of the organization.

* Self-driven and takes ownership to independently prioritize and drive progress on multiple, highly visible projects under tight timelines, requiring minimal manager oversight.

* Tenacity to find a solution to the most complex problems.

* Proven ability to work with executive leadership on data visualizations and provide the highest level of analysis and insights to support strategic decision making.

* Prior experience with commercial banking and risk analytics preferred.

Location: Hybrid/Waltham, MA Salary Range: $84,400 - $109,500

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $84,400 - $109,500. Cambridge Saving Bank will determine actual compensation for the role based on factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
