Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will be responsible for monitoring access points and performing patrols to help deter security-related incidents within a government location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by executing security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to authorized areas, verifying identification and credentials to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and incidents according to company and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have five or more years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
