Pay From: $70,000 per year

MUST:

Experienced Staff Accountant

4+ years of professional experience working as a staff

Strong experience with month-end close out and bank & account reconciliations

Strong experience in Government contracting

In-depth understanding of GAAP and FAR

Experience with Unanet in a plus

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

High attention to details

Strong problem-solving skills and highly analytical

Self-starter and able to work independently

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

DUTIES:

Ideal candidate will be in integral part of the finance team and report directly to the CFO

Collaborating with the CFO in financial forecasting and cash flow management

Supervising accounts payable and payroll operations, including vendor and credit card transactions, payroll taxes, and benefits

Help with preparing monthly financial statements and implementing controls to align with GAAP

Managing Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end/year-end close activities

Conducting detailed account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining GL integrity

Preparing monthly financial statements and implementing controls to align with GAAP

Handling contract entry/reporting, and processing modifications with a firm grasp of billing and revenue implications

Overseeing the invoicing cycle for accuracy and timeliness, using various submission methods (WAWF, IPP, etc.)

Work closely with leadership and help identify ways for enhancing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures

Utilizing Excel for complex calculations

Ensuring confidentiality of financial information

Assisting in special projects to boost Finance Department efficiency
