Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator

As a Security Officer - Access Control Coordinator in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and oversee the flow of personnel and visitors to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while you provide exceptional customer service and communicate with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit, following site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by responding to questions and assisting with directions in accordance with location protocols.
• Carry out security-related procedures based on site-specific requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and follow established emergency response activities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related breaches, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and visitors to address concerns or report incidents related to access control.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
