Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control Driver in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control post at a chemical facility, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visibly present to help deter security-related incidents. This primarily driving role places you at the forefront of maintaining a secure environment for a critical location, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical facility to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Conduct security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols, adapting to the unique requirements of a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response guidelines as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential risks and/or suspicious activities, noting any unusual circumstances or issues.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by answering questions, offering directions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of security-related incidents, access control activities, and daily operations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as appropriate to relay information regarding incidents, concerns, or ongoing security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
