Job Title: Data Navigator
Location: Brown Deer, WI (Remote )
Description:


  • DataNavigator is the back-office transaction management component of the CLIENT Enterprise Payments platform, aggregating data from all the disparate acquisition channels and processing systems.
  • As part of the central payments engine in a hub and spoke architecture, DataNavigator is a dynamic product that supports banks, processors, issuers, acquirers, and retail lines of business globally to obtain a real-time enterprise-wide view of all transactions and consumer interactions flowing through the system.
  • This endless stream of information must be stored, aggregated, and analyzed. DataNavigator optimizes Transaction Research, Exception Management, ATM Management, Settlement and Reporting functions in one central location. The team will be managing the work for DataNavigator applications.
  • Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
  • We are looking for proactive team players who would like to work in the Fintech sector, with likeminded individuals that want to develop robust and scalable applications for the growing market.


Responsibilities:


  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products.
  • Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Writes code, completes development tasks for various projects and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • Opportunity to involve in modernization of application with cloud technologies.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Experience with SAFe/Agile Methodology.
  • Trains and communications with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
  • May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.


GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Knowledge of financial services industry
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry, e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business
  • In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
  • Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed

  • May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management and related infrastructure technologies and practices


Additional Skills:


  • Advanced professional role. Requires a broad knowledge of the system development life cycle; products, services, practices, regulations and operations associated with the assigned line(s) of business; and software engineering alternatives.
  • Requires proficiency in at least two higher-level programming languages. Evaluates systems specifications for complex business requirements, develops and prepares computer-based solutions.
  • Analyzes problems in terms of detailed equipment requirements and capabilities, including those related to scalable applications, and cloud-based resources. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs.
  • Receives general supervision and is competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of software engineering while working on own or in a team environment most of the time.
  • May be involved in helping and training to lower-level software engineers. Typically requires seven or more years software engineering work experience.




GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Qualification Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information systems is preferred. 3 - 5 years of IT experience with programming languages on C/C++, UNIX, Oracle.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
  • Strong design and programming knowledge using either C/C++ on Unix/Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL such as Oracle and DB2.
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).
  • Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
  • General business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in banking or financial services industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and awareness in PCI/PADSS standards.
  • Build tool: Bit Bucket, GIT etc.
  • Organizational and time management skills required (ability to juggle multiple priorities at a time).
  • Python, Java.
