Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government facilities to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as required by Allied Universal and the location.
  • Provide customer service to all individuals encountered while performing duties.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including the perimeter and designated areas.
  • Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents, emergencies, and/or critical situations as they arise.
  • Monitor for security-related issues and report observations according to established protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and checking for unauthorized individuals when necessary.
  • Support emergency response activities and collaborate with local authorities and/or site management as directed.
  • Document activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
