As a Security Officer - Shopping Mall in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer, where you'll help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere within a lively retail and mall location. You'll be responsible for routine patrols, staying highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. Your communication skills and presence will contribute to a positive experience for everyone on site. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and client instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify potential concerns.
• Observe for any unusual activity or potential threats and report findings according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by the site.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and members of the public.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
• Document incidents, patrols, and observations in accordance with site guidelines.

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
