Description
Summary / Position Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for helping aligning business objectives with employees and management. This role will help to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legislation for company policies and processes. The Human Resources Generalist position formulates and fosters partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service while maintaining the ability to develop relationships across a wide range of teams and departments that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Human Resources Generalist will help balance location needs, employee support, and the ongoing organizational support of the company, while maintain compliance with all Human Resources regulation. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Assists the Sr. HR Generalist in resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed alongside the Sr. HR Generalist.
- Assists in consults with employees and management, providing HR guidance as needed.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) alongside the Sr. HR Generalist.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Help to guide and cultivate a positive workplace culture and engagement.
- Build deep relationships with all stakeholders by learning the business operations and their interests to help drive business and team performance.
- Helps to implement local initiatives in the areas such as organization development, reward and recognition, and succession planning management to support all of the above.
- Indirectly responsible for product quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years HR Generalist, HRBP, or Administrative Assistant experience
- Experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience navigating HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
