Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Network Test & Certification Engineer with deep expertise in network modeling, simulation, cloud, and automation, and the ability to leverage Generative AI (GenAI) technologies to streamline testing workflows, accelerate certification processes, and optimize network designs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all network changes are thoroughly validated for performance, reliability, and compliance before deployment into production. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Global Network Engineering and Operations teams to test and certify network changes and new designs using advanced network modeling tools. Acting as a technical specialist, you will work independently or as part of a team, requiring only minimal guidance in complex scenarios. Some travel (up to 10%) may be required for training, project-related activities, and vendor engagements. RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an individual contributor role responsible for testing, analyzing and validating complex network configurations and designs prior to deployment in the production network. * Conduct pre-implementation testing of network change scripts using Riverbed's NetPlanner and EVE-NG modeling tool. * Develop, execute, and automate test plans to validate cloud-based network architectures, connectivity, and security across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. * Test the change scripts, document and publish test results from testing, and review findings with stakeholders. * Evaluate emerging GenAI tools to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency. * Automate repetitive tasks to improve productivity and reduce manual effort. * Leverage network modeling technologies to test network designs, optimize network infrastructures in alignment with industry best practices. * Build network models to simulate production environments prior to test pre-change and post-change network state. * Gather and analyze network and application data to support accurate simulation model creation and testing. * Perform network design analysis and validate configurations to ensure optimal performance and catch any configuration issues prior to the change. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Network Engineering, Global Network Architecture, and Global Network Operations to ensure alignment with design requirements. * Partner with project managers to ensure timely completion of testing and certification activities without impacting project timelines. U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 110,700.00 to 156,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
