Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class B Driver to join our delivery and logistics team. This role involves operating company vehicles, including F-250s and flatbed trucks, to deliver materials safely and efficiently to job sites. The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading pipe using a Moffett/piggyback and sit-down forklift, as well as maintaining all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company compliance standards. This is a full-time, physically demanding role requiring strong time management skills, reliability, and professionalism. Drivers are guaranteed 40 hours per week with routes ranging from local deliveries to trips up to four hours away - no overnight travel required. Job Responsibilities Safely operate Class B vehicles, including flatbed trucks and F-250s, in compliance with DOT and company regulations Load and unload materials (primarily pipe) using Moffett/piggyback and sit-down forklifts Secure all materials to ensure safe transport and compliance with weight limits Deliver materials on schedule as directed by the supervisor and confirm delivery accuracy Obtain customer signatures and ensure all delivery documentation is completed correctly Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the day to report delivery status or delays Pick up customer returns, ensuring products match credit requests, and return required paperwork Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including loading materials and organizing inventory Adhere to all safety policies, company procedures, and uniform standards Represent the company in a professional manner while delivering outstanding customer service Work overtime as required to support delivery schedules and business needs Job Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class A license preferred but not required Must hold required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience operating vehicles in the same class as assigned Moffett or piggyback forklift experience preferred (must be able to learn quickly if not experienced) Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts required Strong physical stamina; ability to lift, load, and unload heavy materials Ability to manage time effectively and deliver materials to job sites on schedule Strong communication and customer service skills Must comply with all DOT standards, company safety rules, and operational procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times Education High school diploma or equivalent required Work Experience Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience required Experience delivering building materials or construction products preferred Additional Job Details Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday (hours may vary between 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM) No overnight travel required; delivery routes up to 4 hours one way Guaranteed 40 hours per week Physically demanding position involving loading, unloading, and securing materials Must maintain compliance with all safety, DOT, and company policies
