Your Role

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant manufacturing and facilities equipment. This includes managing preventive maintenance systems, documentation, and programs related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery. The role requires strict adherence to SOPs and cGMPs in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Your Team

As the Supervisor II you will lead a dedicated team of skilled technicians and facilities professionals who are passionate about maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment. Your team plays a critical role in supporting the production of life-saving medical devices by ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, and responding swiftly to operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies.
  • Supervise maintenance and facilities activities across two shifts (up to 16 hours/day, 5 days/week).
  • Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs per FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Document procedures, PM work orders, reports, and validation protocols.
  • Support CAPA investigations using root cause analysis tools.
  • Oversee contract services (cleaning, security, pest control, outsourced PM).
  • Schedule and coordinate CM and PM work via CMMS.
  • Monitor equipment OEE and reliability data; troubleshoot failures.
  • Analyze downtime and spare part usage to optimize reliability.
  • Supervise equipment maintenance and modifications to ensure GMP compliance.
  • Lead installation and qualification of new equipment.
  • Administer equipment expenditures and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with EH&S, QE, ME, and Ops for year-end maintenance planning.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials, OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to simplify procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Attributes: integrity, work ethic, judgment, innovation, accountability, and respect.
  • Presentation skills for departmental overviews.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more open with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonus.
