Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina.

The First Citizens Bank Enterprise Digital Solutions product management team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner) to support all lines of business including Commercial, Small Business and Consumer in delivering the vision and roadmap for our digital onboarding solutions. The vision involves transforming client lifecycle management into an effortless yet compliant digital onboarding experience that fuels new growth for the bank, deepens client trust and unlocks efficiency at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet client needs throughout the end-to-end client lifecycle and align with our enterprise strategy and objectives. This role will contribute to creating a centralized function that enables product capabilities and services that can be leveraged across an omni-channel experience, enabling seamless client interactions and a unified user experience.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to prioritizing the backlog, collaborating with the Agile team to pull in ready stories as applicable.
  • Collaborate with the UI/UX team to translate business needs into the client and associate facing applications.
  • Write detailed user stories with clear business requirements that align with high-level epic objectives.
  • Facilitate refinement sessions with cross-functional partners to ensure stories are well-understood and actionable.
  • Revise stories based on input from client partners, research findings, or evolving business needs.
  • Update stories based on technical requirements.
  • Incorporate Developer feedback into story updates to ensure alignment with technical solutions.
  • Ensure the product meets readiness criteria before release through validation & stakeholder coordination.
  • Contribute to defining and evolving the product vision & roadmap.
  • Leverage user feedback, business metrics, and analytics to inform priorities and assess progress, risks, & delivery timelines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through retrospectives to enhance product development efficiency and quality.
  • Lead triage for all production issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Assess and prioritize incidents based on severity, urgency, and client impact and coordinate with Operations, IT, and stakeholders to expedite resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience supporting digital onboarding or digital banking applications.
  • Experience configuring or administering SaaS software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills & ability to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA and Confluence).
  • User-centric thinking; understanding user needs and translating them into product requirements.
  • Understanding of IDV/KYC regulations and requirements needed for compliant onboarding.
