Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. NY

This position performs underwriting and administrative duties in support of the Energy group. Sources and verifies accuracy of all associated documentation. Collaborates with both internal and external parties to facilitate smooth workflow. Supports operations by answering inquiries and resolving daily issues.


Responsibilities

  • Underwriting - Underwrites energy accounts according to applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Reviews for proper documentation, communicates with clients or prospects, and performs analysis to recommend credit grades and appropriate loan structuring. Ensures all involved parties are updated on underwriting progress and outcome.
  • Support - Answers inquiries and resolves daily issues regarding file status from clients, associates, and outside parties. Assists with any administrative/clerical duties necessary to facilitate work in the energy group.
  • Risk Management - Identifies, and communicates risks, through reviews, analysis, and research of new and existing energy loans.
  • Subject Proficiency - Maintains proficiency and understanding of underwriting principles, applicable procedures, and agency guidelines as per regulations in multiple states. Utilizes knowledge to address unusual underwriting issues that develop during course of work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis. OR High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Education: Business, Finance
  • Finance, Banking
  • Completion of a formal credit training program preferred

The base pay for this position is generally between $38.46 and $43.26 per hour. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
