DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Foreman, you will supervise inmate work crews in completing routine construction, janitorial, grounds keeping, and maintenance work assignments in and around the facility. Your duties will involve performing or assisting with semi-skilled journey-level work in one or more trades, including carpentry, refrigeration, or painting. You will be expected to plan and assign daily inmate schedules and inspect completed work assignments; issue and inventory all materials and tools used to complete work assignments; and submit purchase request for materials and tools as necessary.

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925 (before taxes).
- This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
