Desktop Support Technician TEKsystems is seeking a desktop support technician to assist with a large-scale workstation and printer refresh initiative for one of our clients based out of Columbus, Ohio. This role involves coordinating hardware upgrades, supporting end users, and ensuring smooth transitions across multiple locations. Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute workstation and printer refresh activities * Assist users with file backup and preparation for device upgrades * Support setup and troubleshooting of new hardware and operating systems * Perform device imaging and configuration * Schedule and track refresh appointments with users, maintaining clear communication and documentation * Provide hands-on support for hardware deployment and replacement * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient rollout Preferred Experience * Experience with modern operating systems (e.g., Windows 11) * Familiarity with enterprise-level device imaging and deployment processes * Strong organizational and communication skills * Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional in-office presence required * Exposure to systems management platforms is a plus Soft Skills * Professional and courteous demeanor in fast-paced environments * Strong conflict resolution and multitasking abilities * Effective verbal and written communication * Critical thinking and active listening skills * Ability to evaluate and respond to user needs with empathy and precision Experience Level * Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
